Two young people on their way to their professional future
The Gemeinnützige Beschäftigungs- und Qualifizierungsgesellschaft mbH (GBQ) and BorgWarner Turbo Systems have achieved a significant joint success: Through participation in the JobAction project at GBQ and the opportunity to complete internships, two young people were able to receive training at BorgWarner. Training manager Axel Walther was delighted to welcome the GBQ team to the training workshop.

Mr. Fabian Walter is training to be a cutting machine operator, while Mr. Mateusz Serafinowski is completing his training as a machine and plant operator. Both previously participated in the JobAction project at GBQ. Intensive social-educational support from social workers Sabrina Mahler and Claudia Scholl helped overcome various barriers to employment and strengthen the two young people's personal development.
Instructor Alexander Matinski taught the two young people everyday skills, key competencies, and practical skills that helped them transition into their apprenticeships. The excellent collaboration between GBQ and BorgWarner has now paved the way for their professional future.
The cooperation between GBQ and Borg Warner has existed for over a year and is set to be further expanded in the future in order to offer more young people the opportunity to obtain an apprenticeship.
As training manager Axel Walther informed, BorgWarner is already looking for potential trainees for the new training year 2026. Applications are still possible.
"We are very proud of the success of our two participants and look forward to continuing our collaboration with BorgWarner," said GBQ Managing Director Judith Schappert. "Our goal is to support young people in shaping their professional futures and providing them with the skills and competencies they need to succeed in the world of work."
