"Job Action Project"

At the end of November, the project had twelve participants, leaving three places vacant. Two participants left the project. One participant ended the project because they were enrolled in a B2 language course, and we had to terminate another participant's participation due to lack of cooperation.

The year is slowly coming to an end and the last projects are being implemented in our workshop.

Several birdhouses were made for the Nordpfalz Gymnasium in Kirchheimbolanden. For this, the wood was cut to size, filed, and sanded. A hole was drilled into the front for the entrance, and a small perch was mounted. Sheet metal was bent to create the roof. Finally, the individual parts were joined together with wooden dowels and glue.

Another focus this month was the production of small Christmas trees for the cooperation partners, the municipalities of Eisenberg and Kirchheimbolanden. Here, the participants transferred a Christmas tree template onto wood and cut it out with a scroll saw. Afterwards, they were sanded and oiled.

As part of the socio-educational support, a final interview was conducted with the departing participants and the target agreements were reviewed with all participants.

On November 12, 2025, we visited the German Red Cross (DRK) vocational training center in Worms, as we currently have participants who might be eligible for vocational training under Section 66 of the Vocational Training Act (BBiG). Here, they were able to view the individual training areas, ask questions, and learn about the associated vocational school and the on-site accommodation.

Situation-specific individual consultations with participants, needs-based in cooperation with the youth welfare office, job center supervisors, social welfare office and other network partners, were conducted.

The German course was continued.

Newsletter October `25

"Job Action Project"

At the end of October, the number of participants in the project was fourteen young people, meaning there is still one place vacant.

We welcomed three new participants in October, and said goodbye to two participants. One participant left because they started a new job, and the other left for health reasons.

In October, additional benches were manufactured and delivered, including some for the Göllheim elementary school. For this, the tree trunks were peeled and sanded. In the next step, the finished benches were mounted onto the prepared supports.

A highlight for the participants was our open house day on October 9, 2025. The participants were very enthusiastic in their preparations, creating picture collages and posters. On the open house day, they then had the opportunity to present their work and showcase their skills. Many interesting conversations also took place with our guests.

As part of the social education support program, target agreements were reviewed and the support plan was updated. Individual job application training was also provided, and efforts were made to secure internships. Two participants took part in a three-day trial training program with the German Armed Forces.
One participant was placed in an integration course, which starts in November.

On October 30, 2025, we attended the Donnersberg Employment Summit in Rockenhausen. The participants took the opportunity to learn about the various professions and training opportunities.

Situation-specific individual consultations were conducted with participants, based on their needs and in cooperation with the youth welfare office, supervisors, the job center, the social welfare office, and other network partners.

The German language course was continued as planned.

Report BorgWarner

Two young people on their way to their professional future

The Gemeinnützige Beschäftigungs- und Qualifizierungsgesellschaft mbH (GBQ) and BorgWarner Turbo Systems have achieved a significant joint success: Through participation in the JobAction project at GBQ and the opportunity to complete internships, two young people were able to receive training at BorgWarner. Training manager Axel Walther was delighted to welcome the GBQ team to the training workshop.

Mr. Fabian Walter is training to be a cutting machine operator, while Mr. Mateusz Serafinowski is completing his training as a machine and plant operator. Both previously participated in the JobAction project at GBQ. Intensive social-educational support from social workers Sabrina Mahler and Claudia Scholl helped overcome various barriers to employment and strengthen the two young people's personal development.

Instructor Alexander Matinski taught the two young people everyday skills, key competencies, and practical skills that helped them transition into their apprenticeships. The excellent collaboration between GBQ and BorgWarner has now paved the way for their professional future.

The cooperation between GBQ and Borg Warner has existed for over a year and is set to be further expanded in the future in order to offer more young people the opportunity to obtain an apprenticeship.

As training manager Axel Walther informed, BorgWarner is already looking for potential trainees for the new training year 2026. Applications are still possible.

"We are very proud of the success of our two participants and look forward to continuing our collaboration with BorgWarner," said GBQ Managing Director Judith Schappert. "Our goal is to support young people in shaping their professional futures and providing them with the skills and competencies they need to succeed in the world of work."

The JobAction project is funded by the European Union, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Jobcenter and the Donnersbergkreis district administration.

Newsletter September `25

"Job Action Project"

In September, the number of participants in the project was thirteen young people, meaning two spots are still available.
A new participant started working with us in September.

In September, the participants crafted two large wooden boxes for the Einselthum kindergarten. They also built benches for the Gutenberg School in Göllheim. For this project, they peeled solid logs, sanded them, and assembled the individual elements.

In the last weeks of September, initial preparations were made for the open day on October 9, 2025. As part of the class, the participants created posters about their completed work. Here, they collectively reflected on the process of their work, from setting up the workstation with the necessary materials, to safety aspects, and the individual work steps.

As part of the socio-educational support, target agreements were reviewed and support plans updated. Furthermore, individual application training was provided and internship placements were acquired.

Training sessions on labor law, waste separation, and a practical session on illegally dumped waste and its disposal, Europe and Me, and financial and healthy living were also held in September, with the modules occupational health and safety, and keeping a household diary.

We also visited the training fair in Eisenberg on September 25, 2025. Participants took the opportunity to learn about the various careers and companies.

Individual, situation-specific consultations were conducted with participants, based on their needs, in collaboration with the Youth Welfare Office, Job Center supervisors, the Social Welfare Office, and other network partners.
The German course continued.

On September 23, 2025, we visited two former participants at their apprenticeships at BorgWorner in Kirchheimbolanden. Thanks to the JobAction project, they were able to begin apprenticeships as machine and plant operators and as cutting machine operators in August after completing an internship. BorgWorner also informed us that they still have positions available for the coming training year.
