"Job Action Project"
At the end of May, the number of participants in the project was 12 young people, meaning that three places are still vacant.
One participant has ended the project due to taking up employment, two other participants are currently completing an internship. Interviews with interested young people are planned for the beginning of June.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't lenient with us this month either. The erection of the fence therefore had to be postponed.
To this end, the participants diligently carried out maintenance work in the Celtic village. The entire area was mowed and tidied up with a brush cutter. The paths in the Celtic village and in front of the mud houses were also cleaned.
The preparatory work for setting the fence continued in the workshop. This included debarking the felled tree trunks.
Socio-educational support was provided in the form of individual and group discussions. Two participants were placed in a work placement and supported during company visits. Individual application documents were also prepared and sent out with the participants.
Another participant was taken on as an employee following his successful internship and therefore left the programme.
The second part of the skills training was carried out with the participants. The training focussed on strengthening teamwork skills through practical exercises. The young people enjoyed taking part in the exercises.
Another training session was on the topic of ‘Europe and me’ and the upcoming European elections.
In German lessons, alphabetisation with the letters A-J and reading and writing training were continued.
